Google has recently announced their intention to kill off Flash with Chrome later this year.  This means that any legacy websites utilizing flash objects will become even more obsolete.  Flash was a proprietary technology that was started by Macromedia and later acquired by Adobe.  Flash was used to add animations to legacy websites.  To view these animations your browser needed a third party Flash plugin.  Due to security concerns as well as to push an internet standard, Apple decided to not allow Flash within their iOS framework (iPhones, iPads).  Now Google is following suite and deciding to end support for Flash.

What does this mean to me?  This basically means that if your website has Flash objects, that those objects will not be accessible from the internets’ top web browser, Chrome.
