Microsoft’s profit for the quarter has climbed 28 percent with shift to cloud. This increase shows that more businesses are adopting Microsoft’s cloud based technologies. Office 365, Sharepoint online and Azure are driving their Cloud profits. Microsoft is still in second place behind Amazon, however, with business tightly integrated to existing legacy non-cloud Microsoft products, Microsoft will continue to see businesses shift to their cloud-based services over the coming years. Businesses are realizing that moving their existing legacy Microsoft services into the cloud is reducing their overall IT spend.
